An eighth covid-19 case recorded in Haiti
Secretary of State for communication Eddy Jackson Alexis announced today that an other covid-19 case was confirmed in the West Department bringing to eight the number of people affected in Haiti.
He also announced that popular singer Roody Roodboy who was diagnosed last week is getting better and should be released in the next few days. He also says the Belgian missionary who was the first case recorded in St-Michel de l’Attalaye is also getting better.
Five out of the eight people affected are being treated at the University Hospital of Mirebalais, the most advanced health center in the country.
James Thomas, Director of communication for the hospital denies that the health center is out of oxygen as posted on some news websites.
