IDB to disburse $ 423 million for development projects in Haiti
At a press conference, Haiti’s Minister of Planning and External Cooperaton Mr. Claudy Pierre announced that he Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) plans to disburse US $ 423 million to finance development projects in different parts of the country.
During a recent trip to Wahington, Mr. Pierre held talks with US officials, executives of the International Development Bank and the World Bank on the economic situation of the country. .
Minister Claudy Pierre said he insisted, during these various meetings, on the need for Haiti to benefit from the financial support of its international partners to be able to solve certain social and economic problems.
He also informed that the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes (CSC / CA) has set up a commission of inquiry within the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation to examine cases regarding the use of Petrocaribe funds.
The ministry’s technical directors have already been instructed to accompany CSC / CA investigators as part of their mission.
