Coronavirus Haiti: Digicel has already sent 30 million messages to raise awareness
To help fight the Covid-19 pandemic, Digicel has strengthened its infrastructure. 60% of its employees now work remotely.
The company, which will soon celebrate its 14th year of service in the country, has declared itself at war against the new coronavirus (Covid-19), described by the WHO as a pandemic since March 11.
Partnering with the Haitian Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), tons of awareness messages have been sent on the measures to be adopted in order to deal with the virus.
“About 30 million awareness messages on COVID-19 have been sent free of charge through Digicel” said Company CEO Maarten Boute, during a teleconference organized by the Permanent Information Center on the Coronavirus (CIPC) this Thursday, March 26
“Business contingency measures have also been adopted by the company including hand washing and employee temperature control” added Boute.
