Coronavirus Haiti: Cuba to the rescue
Cuba is deploying a medical brigade made up of 348 doctors and nurses to Haiti in order to help Haitian officials in their fight against the Coronavirus.
As he welcomes the first 25 members of the Cuban medical team, Haiti’s Foreign Minister Claude Joseph says “I thank the Cuban government and people for the deployment of a medical brigade of 348 doctors and nurses to Haiti to help fight against Coronavirus.
It’s a privilege for my colleague from the Ministry of Public Health and I to greet the first 25 members of the Cuban medical staff at the residence of the Ambassador of Cuba in Haiti. This group is part of the brigade of 348 health professionals from Cuba who will be deployed throughout Haiti to help us fight COVID19, concluded Minister Claude Joseph.
