Air Canada cancels its flights to Haiti up until April 29 In a statement released Tuesday Air Canada announces that it has decided to temporarily suspend flights between Montreal and Port-au-Prince. “Due to ongoing civil unrest in Haiti, Air Canada non-stop service between Montreal and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, will be suspended up to and including Monday, April 29th. Former Haitian Police Chief Godson Orelus is released from jail The Court of Appeal of Gonaives ordered Tuesday the release of former Haiti’s Polie Chief Godson Orelus who has been imprisoned by Saint Marc’s examining magistrate, Dieunel Lumeran, for his alleged complicity in international firearms trafficking. Sandra Thelusma who was in charge of clearing customs for the cargo was not released and was returned to her cell at the end of the hearing.
