Gonaives will host the 2019 carnival

Gonaives will host the 2019 carnival Haitian Minister of Culture Jean Michel Lapin announced Friday that the 2019 carnival festivities will be held in Gonaives on March 3rd to the 5th. During his last visit to the city of Independence, President Jovenel Moise promised to allow Haiti’s 3rd largest city to host the musical and cultural event in order to help boost its economy. The theme of the 2019 carnival is “Ann chita pale pou Ayiti” (Let’s have a conversation for Haiti.
